Generating API key for OpenAI

To use SOTE AI, you need an OpenAI account and an OpenAI API key.


            To successfully integrate, you need to fund your OpenAI account with a minimum of 5 USD (recommended 10 USD).
            Payments can be made in Settings → Billing, by clicking Buy credits.

If you have already created an OpenAI account more than 3 months ago, you need to additionally assign a payment method to your account on https://platform.openai.com/account/billing/payment-methods
Note: If after adding the payment method, you still encounter an error when saving the OpenAI configuration in the store, wait for about 10 minutes and try saving the configuration again.
  1. Go to openai.com → Log in → Sign up,
  2. Create and verify your account Creating an account in OpenAI
  3. After logging in, go to API Keys,
  4. Generate a new API key (the key name is arbitrary), Generating OpenAI API key
  5. Copy the generated key,

    After completion, there will be no further possibility to view the key. You can copy the key to e.g. notepad.

  6. Press the Done button.
