On July 18, 2024, OpenAI released a new version of the GPT model called GPT-4o Mini. It is dedicated to supporting AI assistants, such as SOTE Chat AI. Thanks to the new version, the operating cost through OpenAI decreases 20-fold, and currently, the cost of one chat conversation is about 1 grosz. Additionally, responses are presented faster. GPT-4o Model
Recently, we wrote about adding support for the most powerful and best OpenAI model called GPT-4o. It has immense capabilities and is much better than the earlier version 3.5, which had quite a limited amount of data analyzed, and the responses did not always meet user expectations. The GPT-4o model opened up entirely new possibilities, allowing us to launch an advanced version of Chat AI.
However, there was a small catch - the cost. According to our calculations, the cost of one chat conversation (from 1 to a few queries) was about 20 groszy, which amounts to 20 zł for 100 conversations. Nevertheless, even this price was acceptable given the capabilities of the new solution, though we wanted it to be cheaper. And now it is, 20 times cheaper!

This is the moment we have been waiting for. We had a fully ready solution, and as soon as the new version of GPT was released, we implemented it into SOTE AI. Currently, the cheaper version of GPT-4o Mini operates for all stores with Chat AI. The Mini version has a slightly smaller knowledge base, but in terms of answering customer queries, this is practically unnoticeable.
