We are pleased to announce that a new two-factor authentication (2FA) option has been introduced in our shop panel. Now you can use mobile applications such as Google Authenticator or Authy (Twilio) to additionally secure your account. With this method, when logging in from a new device, a one-time code generated by the app on your phone will be required.
Below are some of the key features of the new two-factor authentication method.
Comparison of 2 two-factor authentication methods: using an email address and a mobile app.

We remind you that we previously introduced the 2FA verification option via email, which we described in this article: Two-factor Authentication 2FA in the Shop Panel

The update to the latest version SOTESHOP 8.3.1 can be downloaded from the shop update panel: Update Documentation
When updating the store, make sure that all packages are downloaded. For some updates (e.g., two-factor authentication), it is required to download additional packages again and perform another update.
Skipping this step can cause login problems. In such a situation, go directly to the update panel (www.example/update.php) and complete the store update.
