New version of the newsletter in SOTESHOP 8. New template, entry reports and sales conversions.

A new version of the "Newsletter" for the SOTESHOP online store has been released. 8. New template, easier and more advanced message editing, creating copies, opening reports, clicks and tracking conversions. All in standard.

One of the most important changes, apart from better editing and appearance, are the newsletter reports. Thanks to them, we can track message openings and clicks. Watch the video and find out how to configure, send and check the effectiveness of the newsletter in the SOTESHOP 8 online store.

Addresses

In the SOTESHOP online store, customers can sign up for the mailing list by clicking the link at the bottom of the page or adding their address when placing an order. Addresses can be added to different groups. Addresses can be both imported to the store and exported.

When using the newsletter, remember that each user must give their consent to receive messages.

Messages

In the new version of the message module, they have been separated as a separate element. Thanks to this, we can create messages separately and send them at any time. There is also an option to create message copies. The editing has been expanded and we have added a new message template that can be customized in the configuration.

When creating a new newsletter, the key element is to check how the final message will look, so we added the option to quickly send a test. Just enter your email and click send.

Sending

When the message is ready, we pass it on to be sent. At this stage, we define to which group of addresses the newsletter should be sent. We can define the sender's address and a special email account that will be used for mailing.

Reports

After sending the newsletter, in the list and in the edition of sent messages, we have access to reports covering:

1. Number of message openings*)
2. Clicks on links from the newsletter

*) Due to privacy restrictions on various mail systems, the number of openings is given approximately.

Sales conversions from the newsletter

If we want to additionally track sales conversions from the newsletter, we can use the ADS Tracker system for this. Below is an example of configuration:

• We add a new platform with the name of the store, e.g. "Example Store"
• We add a "Newsletter" campaign to the above platform
• We add an advertisement assigned to the above campaign to each newsletter
• We add an ADS Tracker ad parameter to each of the links (leading to our store) in the newsletter.

If we add ADS Tracker links to the messages, if someone makes a purchase after entering from such a link, we will see the appropriate information in the order. Even after many days from clicking. The number of days for recognizing conversions is set in the ADS Tracker configuration.
