Starting from May 2022, the Omnibus Directive of the European Union changing the sales conditions for consumers will come into force. One of the requirements is to present the price history of goods for the last 30 days. The new law is intended to protect customers from false promotions.

European Union Omnibus Directive

Omnibus is a 2019 EU directive to which all EU member states must comply by May 2022. The new regulations are intended to eliminate irregularities in commercial transactions.

Product Price History

In order to comply with the applicable regulations, it is already necessary to ensure that the store records the price history of products. Update the store today to take advantage of the new, required by law, functionality in May. To fully take advantage of the new feature, you must activate it 30 days before the new law comes into force.

How to check the product price history and activate it in the store?

The update, containing the option of displaying the price history on the product card, is available as standard for SOTESHOP 8. To activate it, just go to the product configuration and activate the "Show Price History" option. The price history link will appear automatically on the product card.

This option is also available for individual graphic themes. If the link does not appear in your store and you have an individual graphic, write to the address office@sote.pl and we will propose a modification to activate the function.

The product price history is displayed from the moment the element is activated. The price history includes the standard price of the product in the default currency and is presented on the product card for a period of up to 30 days.
